As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and enhance productivity across Lagos State public schools, the Supervising Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Mr. Olusegun Osinaike has presented appointment letters to newly appointed Education Administrators in the District.

The ceremony, held recently at the District Conference Room, Maryland, saw the official presentation of appointment letters to 29 Vice Principals, who will be deployed to fill existing vacancies across schools in the District.

In addition, redeployment letters were issued to two Principals: Mrs. Saka Oladotun Olumide, who has been moved from Ayangbure Senior Secondary School to Lagos State Girls’ Junior Model College, Agunfoye, and Mr. Olagoke Dauda Olatunde, redeployed from Keme Senior College to Lagos State Civil Service Model College, Igbogbo.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Osinaike described the appointments as a strategic step towards ensuring smooth administration and improved academic outcomes.

According to him: “This appointment exercise is not just about filling vacancies but about repositioning our schools for greater efficiency. We believe that effective leadership is key to creating a productive teaching and learning environment where both staff and students can thrive.”

He further commended the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) for its diligence in the selection process. “With the rigorous procedures involved in screening and selection, I am confident that only the best and most qualified administrators have been appointed to serve,” he stated.

The TG/PS congratulated the new appointees and encouraged them to embrace their roles with commitment and responsibility. “I urge you to lead with integrity, inspire your staff, and always put students at the centre of your decisions. The future of our children and the success of our District depend largely on your leadership,” he added.

Mr. Osinaike reaffirmed the District’s commitment to advancing quality education in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, assuring continuous support for school administrators in the delivery of excellence.
